Dr Tony Meehan joins us for our workshop NVR in Practice: Schools

Dr Tony Meehan is an NVR Practitioner, Coach, and Trainer, and a retired Head of a Pupil Referral Unit in inner London. With 29 years’ experience in mainstream and special education, he worked extensively with vulnerable pupils and their families, becoming a strong advocate for alternative approaches to managing behaviour.

Now working with NVR, he promotes it as a relational, values-based alternative to traditional behaviourist models, supporting educators to respond more effectively to challenging behaviour. A Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, he was awarded a Doctorate in Education in 2024 for his research into the impact of school exclusion on parents and carers.

In addition to our guest speakers, all workshops will be facilitated by two accredited NVR Practitioners, Trainers, and Supervisors, creating space for active discussion and participant engagement.
