For Families

From troubled and troubling tots to teens - from violent, destructive behaviours to anxiety-based controlling and self-injurious behaviours, we’ll equip you with strategies and techniques proven to help where traditional approaches don’t seem to work.

Nonviolent Resistance (NVR) is a powerful (yet gentle), ethically-sound philosophy and skills-set that can help anyone living with and/ or supporting children and young people who might present in violent, aggressive, controlling, destructive and/or self-destructive ways.

During the first lockdown in 2020, we developed our NVR - ‘Beginner’s Mind’ online group sessions and they have proved incredibly popular, attracting attendees from all over the UK, the UAE and the USA.

NVR is a systemic, parent-centred, child-focussed approach which concerns itself with the raising of parental presence in the household and in the broader family and social systems.

Our NVR - 'Beginner's Mind' Group consists of 8 fortnightly, two hour online meetings for collaborative information-sharing and discussion about the fundamentals of NVR.  No prior knowledge of NVR is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to explore a new way of approaching troubling behaviours.

Groups consist of a mix of professionals and parents/ carers which has always made for really interesting discussions and some great learning opportunities (you can read some recent feedback below).

Our next group will start in the New Year - if you'd like to join us, please follow the link below to join our waiting list.
