Community Issues with Giovanni Aventaggiato

Giovanni Aventagiatto joins us for our workshop NVR in Practice: Community Issues

Giovanni was born in Zurich in 1964 to Italian parents and spent nearly 30 years living and working in Italy before returning to Switzerland in 2016 for further development. With a degree in Pedagogical Sciences, he worked as an educator and later as a manager in social and educational organisations, focusing on well-being and personal growth.

His approach is based on nonviolent educational practices inspired by Gandhi and further developed by Aldo Capitini and Haim Omer. He promotes a constructive understanding of nonviolence centred on responsibility, transparency, and a form of authority grounded in relationships and trust rather than control.

His mission is to support individuals in offering caring yet firm guidance in family, social, and professional contexts, and to foster a culture of peace and justice through everyday relationships and personal responsibility.

This workshop forms part of our Accredited Level 2 NVR Training, offering a new way to work towards the full qualification at a pace that suits your time and budget.

In addition to our guest speakers, all workshops will be facilitated by two accredited NVR Practitioners, Trainers, and Supervisors, creating space for active discussion and participant engagement.
